Courageous leveret in NUE

Last night, exhausted and confused, summer bumped into autumn and dissolved into a gloomy and chilly morning weather with a sprinkle of drizzle. I took a shower, and it felt like I washed away what was left of the summer.

Even though Flightradar24 didn't list anything interesting arriving or departing, I decided to swing by NUE anyway. I reasoned that even if I don't catch anything, I'd have a nice walk.

My visit took a rather unexpected turn. While walking to my favorite spot, I noticed two fairly large crows chasing something on the sidewalk. First, I thought it was a rat or something, but then I realized that it was... a tiny baby hare. It was fighting off the birds with all it got, which didn't amount to much. I shooed the birds away, and I tried to guide the leveret away from the sidewalk. But the poor thing was so agitated that it tried to fight me too. I scooped it up, and when it tried to bite me, I noticed that it was bleeding a bit from its mouth. I did my best to calm it down by nesting it gently in my jacket, and it did help. Not sure what else I could do, I brought to it a small nature reserve and put it on the ground. I figured that if it's too weak to move, I'll grab a taxi home, and then decide what to do with it. But the hare just gave me a brief look and darted across the meadow. I hope I did the right thing and the tiny courageous leveret will make it.

As expected, there was nothing interesting to capture. On top of that, I hoped for dramatic skies, and I got them — but the light was terrible nonetheless. So a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-8F2(WL) was my only catch.

While waiting for something interesting to appear, I spotted a small beautiful blue butterfly, and on my way back to the bus stop, I was greeted by a cheerful wagtail. So while it wasn't the most productive day airplane-wise, the nature provided plenty of entertainment.
