Advanced age demands advanced solutions. My knees are killing me: walking is fine, but standing still is not. So after doing some research (that is, browsing Amazon), I've splurged on a collapsible stool.
Despite being a rater generic product offered under several brands with unpronounceable names, the stool is actually well made is does the job just fine. Its length when fully extended is perfect for my height, and the stool feels pretty stable. It has a handle and a shoulder strap, so it's easy to carry around. It's slightly heavier than I'd have liked (1.1Kg), but I guess the sturdiness has its price.
To do a field test, I went to my new favorite spot in NUE. Although I enjoyed our trip to Istanbul, I did miss photographing airplanes. So I was happyd to be back, now without being forced to stand on my feet all day long. The stool passed the test with flying colors, and it's totally worth €25.99 I spent on it.
Aircraft-wise, I managed to catch a handful of airplanes, including an Airbus A320-232 from Wizz Air Malta (reg. 9H-WZX), featuring a slightly different livery, an Embraer ERJ-190LR from German Airways (reg. D-ACJJ), sporting the Herpa Miniaturmodelle 75 Years livery, and a Boeing 737-8 MAX from Turkish Airlines.
